MSJ and CKS welcome families to winter open houses

Mount St. Joseph Academy and Christ the King School will each hold a Winter Open House in January. Families are invited to come and learn more about what the MSJ and CKS families have to offer.

MSJ, located at 127 Convent Ave. in Rutland, will hold its open house from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27. MSJ welcomes students who are interested in joining the Academy for the 19-20 school year, as well as students who may wish to transfer for the remainder of the current school year.

The school’s college preparatory curriculum has led nearly 100 percent of its students on a college path over the past five years with its traditional grading and class ranking systems, as well as AP classes to encourage each student to reach their fullest potential.

Christ the King School, a pre-K through 8th-grade school at 60 South Main St. in Rutland, will hold its open house on Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 5-7 p.m. This is a great opportunity for families to learn more about various programs at CKS, which offers both before-school and after-school care programs.

The open house events will include a guided tour of the school, and faculty and staff will be available to answer questions and to provide highlights of the school.

Both schools provide small classes, opportunities to thrive in sports and the arts, and a caring, family-type atmosphere. Tuition assistance programs are available. No RSVP is necessary to attend either open house. For more information, contact MSJ at 802-775-0151 or CKS at 802-773-0500.

Christ the King School and Mount St. Joseph Academy have each provided a tradition of academic excellence in the Rutland Region for more than a century. MSJ was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1882 and CKS followed in 1886.
