The Rutland, VT Wonderfeet Kids Museum hosts 2020 Lip Sync Battle
Wonderfeet Kids Museum is partnering with local businesses and schools to host a lip sync battle! The fundraising event will help raise money for their business. It is also a competition between businesses and schools in the Rutland community to see who can help raise the most money. Christ the King School in Rutland saw this as yet another example where Rutland Catholic Schools could come together to help support local business and give back to the community.
Teams work together to put on a lip-syncing performance and choose songs that they feel represent them well. They can show off their dance moves too, and share a positive message. Each team’s video is special because of their unique choreography. A lot of work is put into memorizing routines, and any special effects and lights teams choose to add to their videos for a personalized touch. In addition to schools and business, teams include groups of people from camps, clubs, and studios alike in the larger Rutland community. The fun and playful videos get everyone in the right mood to donate to a great cause!
CKS recognized the opportunity to partake in the fun and help the community and jumped right on it. They created a unique video of their own; teachers and faculty came together and chose a song that everyone would enjoy dancing around to! All of the work put into making their video was done with big smiles on their faces, under masks of course!
Christ the King and their sister school, Mount St. Joseph Academy, do not shy away from helping out their community. Project Help, Relay for Life, and Brandon's Trunk or Treat are just some of the countless ways Rutland Catholic Schools have worked together to benefit everyone.
For this fundraiser, the team that raises the most money gets an official museum sponsor and will perform onstage at next year’s Lip Sync Battle! So please, if you can, donate money and vote for Christ the King’s video to be number one!
