Seeing the big picture

After stealing the puck and splitting two defenders, she quickly becomes a green-and-white blur with a ponytail bobbing up and down as it hangs out the back of her helmet. She circles the opponent’s net and evades another three defenders. Finding herself 1-on-1 with the goaltender, she lifts a wrist shot high to the blocker side and puts the puck top shelf.

Graduation Packets

Balfour graduation packets are due in mid-February.  The packets were distributed on 1/14/10.    Also, the graduation fee is due by mid-March.   The fee is $120 and includes cap/gown, yearbook and diploma.

In Ludlow, Brianna Patten had 22 points to power Mount St. Joseph Academy past Black River.
The Presidents were still in the game, trailing 29-16 at the end of three periods, but when they were forced to defend man-to-man, Patten made hay from the foul line where she went 12-of-18.

Senior Reflections

Joshua Scaralia, Francisco DeCandio, Ian Patch, Thomas Garbitelli, Tyler Sanborn, Courtney Elliott and Benjamin Smith, all members of the Class of 2010, presented Gospel Reflections from November 9 to November 19, 2009. Gospel passages were chosen by each student and each reflection was presented before the entire student body at morning chapel. All the students were members of Catholic Apologetics, a senior seminar taught by Mr. Z.
