A Fun Way to Support the Arts at MSJ
Visual arts, music, and drama are all important at the Mount. You can show your support by buying a $25 armrest plaque for our Shoestring Theater chairs. The middle section is already filled and the two side sections are waiting for you. It makes a great graduation gift for any MSJ student who has been active in the arts. The plaques can also commemorate a family member, a MSJ teacher or friends of our arts programs. We even have two plaques in memory of some academy dogs, one of whom performed on stage. The money raised funds our Arts Booster account, which helps pay for bringing concerts to the Academy, and student trips to other arts events.
A very special thank you to the class of 1959, who just bought six plaques to remember key MSJ faculty and staff, as part of their 50 year reunion. The third row of chairs in the left hand section now recognize “Rev. John R Ready, Forever in Our Thoughts,” “Mr. Walter Moore, our Japanese Ace,” “Sister John David, Musica, Martis, Medicina,” “Sister Mary Helena, The Sweet Smell of CH20.” “Rt, Rev. John (Jack) Lynch, Keep on-Keeping on,” and “Ms. Margaret (Margie) Canary_________Sorry We’re Late.”
Thank you, class of 1959 and Tom Navin.
