Free Lecture on College Admissions and Financial Aid Scheduled for Nov. 1

RUTLAND, VT -- A round table discussion entitled, "Increase College
Acceptances and Maximize Financial Packages" will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 6-8pm in the Mount Saint Joseph Academy library. The event is free and open to all interested area middle school and high school families.

Panelists will include: Susan Wertheimer, Senior Associate Director of
Admissions University of Vermont; Ralph Musella, President, Vermont College
Counseling; and Connie Whalen, MSJ Guidance Counselor.
The discussion will address tips in preparing college applications, how to maximize
financial aid packages, and why students need to be aware of college
admissions issues starting as early as their freshman year in high school.
The round table discussion will be followed by a question and answer
session.

MSJ is located at 127 Convent Avenue in Rutland, VT. One hundred percent
of its class of 2011 was admitted to four-year colleges. The class
 received $548,900 in college scholarships.
