Rutland Catholic Schools will hold its fourth annual Honor Our Past event at the Rutland Holiday Inn on July 31. The event will honor John Casella ('68) and Doug Casella (‘74) as distinguished alumni for their heroic work in the wake of Hurricane Irene; Sister Shirley Davis, SSJ, as the honored administrator for her many years of service to Rutland Catholic Schools; and Rosemary "Roz" Rogers ('62) as the unsung hero for her extremely successful efforts to raise funds for MSJ through the annual "Taste of Rutland.”

Over the years, the Honor Our Past event has raised tens of thousands of dollars for scholarships for Mount Saint Joseph Academy and Christ the King School. This event has turned out to be a grand reunion for supporters of the schools.

The cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., with a cash bar, and dinner will be at 7 p.m. To attend, please contact the RCS Development Office at (802) 775-0151 or email development@msjvt.org. Tickets are $75 per person or a table of 10 for $750. Raffle tickets are available for $20 each -- or you may purchase six for $100; one need not be in attendance to win.

Rutland Catholic Schools include Christ the King School and Mount Saint Joseph Academy, which are both located in Rutland, Vermont. The schools have provided a tradition of academic excellence in the Rutland region for well over a century. MSJ was founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1882 and CKS followed in 1886.
