Financial Assistance
Simply put, tuition does not cover the cost of educating a student at MSJ. But, if you want an Academy education and you’ve met the requirements for admission, we will find a way to help you attend Mount St. Joseph. Any student who wants to attend MSJ, and who has met the admissions requirements, will not be denied an education on financial grounds. Period.
In addition to direct financial assistance for qualifying students—more than $130,000 is available for tuition help—there are a number of different tuition management plans available including the FACTS Tuition Management Program. Although there is a fee for participating in a FACTS-based plan and 1% interest is charged on any unpaid balance, this program provides the kind of financial management that can mean the difference between attending and not attending for the families of many students. We also offer a helping hand to families with more than one student attending Mount St. Joseph by providing $1,000 in tuition assistance for each additional family member enrolled at the Academy. If you want to attend MSJ, talk to us. We will find a way.
• Nearly half of our students receive some type of financial assistance
• Work-study is a requirement for all tuition assistance plans
• MSJ participates in the FACTS Tuition Management Program
• More than $130,000 is available in direct tuition assistance

FACTS Tuition Payment Plans for 2008 / 2009
Herein, please find the tuition payment information for the next school year. Since the stability of our school and the quality of its programs are of the utmost importance, we are always seeking ways to make improvements to benefit everyone.
In that spirit, we have adopted the following tuition payment policy for the next school year. Families can pay their tuition bill in one of two ways:
- Full payment of tuition by July 1, 2008. This payment should be made directly to the school.
- Automatic monthly payments through the FACTS Payment Plan. Payments will start July, 2008, and may be processed on the 5th or the 20th of each month. There is a $41 per year, per family charge for using this option.
The following tuition payment plans are available. Please be advised that interest on the unpaid balance will be charged at the rate of 3% per month:
- Two (2) automatic payments: Tuition will be paid in two equal installments, the first payment would be in July, 2008 and the second payment in January of 2009.
- Four (4) automatic payments: Tuition will be paid in four equal installments, with payment occuring in July and October of 2008 and January and April of 2009.
- Ten (10) automatic payments: Tuition will be paid in ten equal installments, with payments occuring each month beginning in July of 2008 and ending with payment in April of 2009.
Through FACTS Management’s direct debit program, you will authorize automatic bank payments directly from your bank account for your monthly tuition bill. Please be assured that neither FACTS nor the school will have direct access to or any knowledge about the status of your bank account. It is simply a pre-authorized bank-to-bank transfer of funds. Please read the enclosed FACTS brochure for more details.
FACTS will save us a great deal of administrative time and costs. The program will enable us to project costs and income figures on a more solid basis so in future years, tuition increases can be minimized. Finally, school administrative staff can spend more time on education, development, and related issue.
